Wil Wegman
An award winning outdoor writer whose ice fishing articles have appeared in such publications as Outdoor Canada, Ontario Out of Doors, In Fisherman, Real Fishing and Big Jim's Just Fishing. He is the fishing columnist for Lake Simcoe Living magazine. Wil taught ice fishing courses at Seneca and Georgian College for 20 years before hitting the seminar circuit speaking at venues across the province about ways anglers can ice more fish. He was a member of Team Canada at the 1991 World Ice Fishing Championships, has several top ten finishes in the Canadian Ice Fishing Championship, has won the Perch Attack on Lake Simcoe and the 2011 Perchin for MS event. Wegman specializes in ice fishing Lake Simcoe but has travelled extensively to drill thru hard water. He has been on the HT Pro Staff team since the mid 1980's and is also sponsored by Rapala and Simcoe County Tourism. In 2017 Wil was inducted into the Canadian Angler Hall of Fame and won the Rick Morgan Professional Conservation Award and the National Recreational Fisheries Award.
Big Jim McLaughlin
Big Jim owns and operates Just Fishing with Big Jim McLaughlin which is Canada's oldest & largest FREE fishing publication. Two time former Classic Champion and Canadian Hall of Fame member, Jim is an icon within the Canadian fishing industry. Every winter he travels across the province for his HT Ice Fishing Tour, promoting the sport for beginners and experts alike. Jim's expertise at catching panfish like crappie and sunfish thru the ice is legendary in eastern Ontario and he is sure to share that knowledge with those watching his presentations at the 2017 Canadian Ice Fishing Expo on Barrie.
Dave Chong
One of Canada's top competitive tournament anglers and an avid multi-species angler. His passion extends into the ice season as well, especially when it comes to fishing for panfish through the ice. He spends a large part of the winter ice fishing season pursuing Lake Simcoe's famed Jumbo Yellow Perch. As a dedicated pro-staff member of the HT Ice Fishing team, David shares his knowledge and passion of ice fishing with others through the HT Ice Tour and seminars at other Sports Shows as well as through social media and articles

Has been recognized as a leading ice fishing seminar hosts on the subject of maximizing electronics to catch more fish. His talks on sonar units, GPS and charts help identify ways ice anglers can better utilize their units, troubleshoot issues and capitalize on all the features today's high tech electronics offer. He is also an ice fishing guide, with ice safety training utilizing portable huts to help his clients stay on fish.

Steve Rowbotham is a fishing guide and popular YouTube personality from Orillia. Having fished Lake Simcoe for more than 20 years he has developed a passion and a knack for figuring out fish during the hardwater season. From jumbo perch, to lake trout and whitefish they are all on the menu this winter and he will tell you exactly how, where and when.

He live's on the upper western shore of lake Simcoe. At 33 years Of age Sebastien likes to track big Lake trout and Whitefish. He currently holds the Pending Ontario Record Burbot 17.95lbs caught in Lake Simcoe while ice fishing last year. . All of his focus during the ice season is aimed at staying on top of the trout and following them transitioning throughout different patterns of the ice season. With his enthusiast and energy he enjoys filming his adventures for his YouTube channel while sharing some insight with his viewers.
Yvonne Brown
Best known as the founder of Ontario Women Anglers and the Fishing 101 for Women program, Yvonne is a strong advocate for getting women and children outdoors and on the water. She is the first female to receive the Rick Amsbury Award of Excellence, a recognition given out annually by the Canadian Angler Hall of Fame.
Rob Jackson Affectionately known as RJ, he is one of the few Canadian members on the prestigious ICE TEAM. RJ's on-ice exploits have become legendary in Eastern Ontario but the tricks and tactics he applies there have proven effective throughout many other parts of Ontario as well. A true multi-species angling expert, he regularly chases bluegill, crappie, perch, lakers, walleye and burbot throughout his region. His seminar will focus on new-age ice fishing equipment and how to get the most out of it regardless of where you are dropping a line or what species you are fishing for. He is also ProStaff for Clam Corporation, Vexilar, Shimano and Lund Boats . In the open water season, he is a sought after multi-species guide and the host of Renegade Bass TV.
